Burton PRU provides education for students in Burton and Uttoxeter who are not accessing mainstream schools. Burton PRU is part of the East Staffordshire and Tamworth PRUs Federation with Kettlebrook Short Stay School.
The Federation endeavours to raise the aspirations of our young people through a trauma-informed, relational and restorative approach to learning. Safeguarding is at the centre of everything we do. We aim to remove the barriers to learning that can impede some students from making progress through their school journey.
We believe that every student has a fundamental right to education and must be given the opportunity to achieve and maintain their learning at the highest level possible. Every student has unique characteristics, interests and learning needs. We endeavour to meet their needs through a holistic approach to learning. Our highly-skilled staff team work alongside the students and their families closely offering support in both academic and pastoral areas. The school is supported in this by our dedicated and highly experienced Management Committee.
